Miguel de Icaza the man behind mono and countless other Linux stuff(GNOME, Evolution etc) has a blog entry on .NET vs Java. He talks about development speed and other things that may affect a decision in favour of one of these.
I have not abandoned this blog. If you had read my main .NET Blog, I have just been away. Will be back at this blog in a day or two.
